Wishlists

I’m a firm believer in Wishlists for a variety of reasons. I have been told on many occasions that I’m not an easy person to buy for, so giving people some clues seems like the polite thing to do.

Beyond that I’m not particularly good at giving gifts myself, I struggle with it a lot and I’d much rather give them something they want than something I think they want. I’ve seen some people online get very judgmental on this topic (surprise!) but it mostly seems to be a complete inability on their part to put themselves in anyone elses shoes. Wishlists are just that. It’s not a demand that people buy all these things. It’s not a requirement that only these things can be gifted. It’s a list of things I’m interested in.

So, with all that said I maintain Wishlists in a few locations, mostly for my own benefit, but others are welcome to browse them for ideas.

Usually there’s only a handful of items favorited on this one. I’m more inclined to use the site to buy other people things than to buy for myself. Also, can be pricey, but there’s some cool items.
